Fugao Yang is the team leader of the No.1 Comprehensive Excavation Team at the Yuni Jinhe Coal Mine of Liupanshui Hengding Industrial Co., Ltd. Under his leadership, the No.1 Comprehensive Excavation Team achieved a total footage of 1,205 meters throughout the year. During the excavation of the 11,500 return air roadway and the cutting shaft, the roof leakage and collapse were severe. In such a challenging environment, he upheld the spirit of facing difficulties head-on and overcoming them, adopting multiple measures and strategies to tackle the difficulties such as roof leakage and collapse, thereby improving the footage efficiency. In April, the team completed a footage of 206.7 meters, which was the highest footage achieved by any excavation working face in the company.

　　During the reverse excavation operation of the 11704 return air roadway, multiple sections of the roadway intersected old tunnels and mined-out areas. The on-site construction conditions were harsh, and on-site safety issues posed severe challenges. Under such circumstances, Yang Fugao, taking into account the actual situation on site, assigned dedicated personnel to be responsible for safety and footage during on-site construction. He continuously innovated methods, improved mechanisms, and ensured implementation, effectively solving various difficulties and ensuring efficient task progress. In November, a footage of 89.1 meters was completed, and on January 14, 2021, all old tunnels were passed through.
